"Stewart Hotel Experience in NYC"
My daughter and a couple of her friends took a trip to New York for the weekend. They checked into the Stewart Hotel on Friday morning. While she was FaceTiming me to show off their room, there was a knock at the door. The girls didn’t answer until a woman outside said it was Housekeeping. When they opened the door, I could hear her chatting with them. She had a Caribbean accent and advised them to stay safe since they were three girls alone in the Big City, reminding them to be aware of their surroundings. She mentioned she’d be off until Monday and left some extra towels. Having seen too many movies, I told my daughter to wedge a chair against the door and keep her phone close. Then, on Saturday around 11:00 AM New York time, a young man used a key to enter without knocking while they were getting ready. He bolted as the girls started screaming. They went downstairs to tell the manager they didn’t feel safe in that room and wanted a change. They were moved to a suite, but I needed some reassurance about their safety within those walls. I called and got disconnected three times, spending over 20 minutes on hold. The operator took my number for a callback, but I never got one. Instead, the manager reached out to my daughter, saying I was bombarding them with calls and questioned if she was really 21. I waited until today, after they checked out, to talk to a manager. I just wanted to ensure my daughter would be safe while in their establishment. I’m not sure what will come of this, but three thoughts keep popping into my head: 1. They were going to be robbed, 2. They were set up for human trafficking, or 3. Both. This whole situation could’ve been avoided if the management had just called me back to confirm their building was secure and that it was likely a misunderstanding.

"Terrible accommodations, deceptive images"
This place is a nightmare—small, filthy, and desperately in need of some serious renovations. I really doubt the authenticity of all those glowing reviews this hotel seems to get. Honestly, it’s barely a two-star establishment fooling folks into thinking it’s better with its misleading photos. The carpet was gross, the bathroom tiles were badly stained, and there were hairs everywhere, even stuck to the wallpaper. Plus, it was super noisy since the window AC units let in all the racket from the fire station next door, keeping us up all night. Do yourself a favor and look for a different place.

"Awesome Experience - Lovely Hotel - Prime Spot"
We booked a trip via an agency in Denmark, but there was a hiccup, and no bookings were found when we got to Stewart Hotel. However, Will at the front desk came to the rescue, offering us an even better deal than what we had initially arranged. He was fantastic! We enjoyed our time in an ideal location. I can definitely recommend this place! Top-notch service, complimentary Wi-Fi, and lovely rooms.
